Since 2014, Melinda Tanner has served as a school Military & Family Life counselor in seven Hoke County Schools near Fort Bragg, NC. Melinda is a licensed clinical social worker with a master's degree in social work from UNC Charlotte and a bachelor's degree in sociology from UNC-Chapel Hill. Before working for Magellan, Tanner worked in intensive in-home services and New Parent Support Program. Having a father who was an Air Force Captain and her mother a retired GS civilian, Melinda desired to continue her family's military legacy by helping military families. Melinda is an avid foodie who loves to try and cook new dishes, enjoys bicycling, and loves solo traveling. Melinda is also a member of the Junior League and is a certified infant massage educator.
