Florida
Magellan is certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS-certified) as a Quality Improvement Organization (QIO)-like entity that is contracted with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). Through this contract, we provide fee-for-service care coordination services for Medicaid-eligible children who reside in inpatient psychiatric programs or out-of-state residential facilities.
Magellan is also contracted with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) to provide a Qualified Evaluator Network (QEN), which performs suitability assessments for children who have been referred for residential placement. Through the QEN program, we conduct approximately 2,000 assessments annually throughout the state to ensure dependent children are objectively evaluated for the appropriate level of care and services.
Louisiana

Magellan manages Louisiana’s Coordinated System of Care (CSoC), which is an initiative of the state’s four child-serving agencies. CSoC provides intensive care management and family-driven, youth-guided services to children and youth from birth through age 21, who have complex behavioral or emotional needs and are currently placed or at risk of being placed out-of-home.
Montana
Magellan is certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS-certified) as a Quality Improvement Organization (QIO)-like entity, and holds contracts with the Montana Children’s Mental Health Bureau (CMHB) and the Montana Addictive and Mental Disorders Division (AMDD). Through these contracts, we offer utilization management and care coordination services for Medicaid-eligible participants. Our program manages inpatient, residential and outpatient services for mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

Magellan manages behavioral health services for HealthChoices members in Bucks, Cambria, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery and Northampton counties and has been coordinating care for their behavioral health needs for more than 22 years.
Virginia

Magellan has served as the Behavioral Health Services Administrator (BHSA) for the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) since 2013. We administer behavioral health services for members enrolled in Virginia’s Medicaid and FAMIS programs, as well as the behavioral health services not covered through DMAS’ managed care programs.
Wyoming

Magellan serves as the Care Management Entity (CME) for youth who have complex behavioral health conditions in Wyoming. Through our collaboration with the Wyoming Department of Health, Division of Healthcare Financing (Medicaid), we coordinate care and service delivery through the High-Fidelity Wraparound model to support the success of children, youth and their families in their homes, schools and the community.
